Prelude to Training - series 5 - final for the year

These programs are a prelude to learning psychodrama which is a very powerful technology for creativity. These workshops are designed to introduce you in a systematic and thoughtful experietial manner to psychodrama. Each program will have group experiences, practice and theory.

Having an authentic life

Much is said these days about work-life balance. As a professional educator, manager, HR / organisational specialist, you may be responsible for aspects of the work-life balance of a number of people. In the process of doing this, you as an individual may be considering your own.

Life is a funny thing. Working out how to make the best of life is a labour that takes our whole life. Often how to do this eludes us. At other times it is crystal clear. We do know that life and creativity go hand in hand. Without creativity, life (and work) can become dull, boring, bogged down and tedious.

A technology of creativity

Psychodrama is a technology for creativity. It pumps life into tired old bones enabling them to dance and sing with the power of life. Psychodrama sets up an authentic and sustainable life. It does this by tapping into each person's natural spontaneity that lies at the core of their being. That spontaneity allows people to do remarkable things, truly remarkable things.

This program

These workshops are designed to introduce you to psychodrama. Each program will have group experiences, practice and theory. Experienced group workers will generate ideas about how you could apply psychodrama if you were to train further. You will begin to see the potential for this in your work and life. Explorers and adventurers will be able to get a true picture of the far flung realms of reality that psychodrama can take a person to.

Method

These sessions will profoundly stimulate you as a participant. Your thinking, feelings and actions will all develop a new fluidity. At the end of these sessions you will have gained an overview of many aspects of psychodrama. You will be in an informed place to consider the training and the experiential programs on offer. You will receive reading material, references and be able to ask the wildest questions you can think of.

Trainer for these programs Peter Howie is the Director of the Moreno Collegium. He is a psychodrama Trainer, Educator and practitioner accredited the Australian and New Zealand Psychodrama Association (ANZPA) and is the current President of ANZPA. He has extensive experience in designing and running adult experiential training programs. Find out more about him here.
